Those long road trips are brutal

There has to be a simpler way to travel with kids, right? I never understood why my dad was so flustered the entire week before we were supposed to leave for those long road trips. I now understand. With two kids under three, there is nothing but heated cheeks and fights about to break out.It has been 20-something years since I had to travel with my own parents, so I know there are new ways to occupy your kids during travel besides playing cards, CD Players and snacks. Yes, I sound old. So, I did the research as to what works for my family for these long road trips.

Here is my list of things that I know work for US. My links should take you straight to Amazon!

1.) Amazon Fire 7 Kids tablet, ages 3-7. $54.99/ $109.99: _Click HERE

Usually, this item is on sale for the $54.99 which is a steal. Especially for an almost indestructible tablet case. The package includes a one-year subscription to Amazon Kids+, the exclusive service offering thousands of ad-free books, games, videos, apps, and Alexa skills from top brands such as Disney, Nickelodeon, and PBS Kids. After the first year, the subscription will renew automatically each month starting at only $5.99/month plus any applicable taxes. You can cancel at any time through the Amazon Parent Dashboard or by contacting Customer Service. You can download things on your internet connection before leaving and you don’t have to worry about it going out.

2.) Mini Handheld/adjustable fan: $16.99: _ Click HERE

My kids sweat…. a LOT. Especially in their car seats. These fans are miracle workers and can attach to the headrests of your car. They have a flexible tripod stand, rotate 360 degrees and has 3 different speeds. Not to mention the cute colors it comes in; white, baby pink, baby blue and black! SIMPLE purchase.

3.) Baby Beach Tent Pop Up UPF 50+ UV Protection $27.99_ Click HERE

This cute little pop-up beach tent for babies is so easy to use. This beach tent is made of polyester fabric, making it block up to 98% of the sun’s harmful UV rays. This pop-up tent also can resist a good bit of water. It keeps the babies cool, it keeps them safe from the sun and its FUN. Just dig a little hole to fit the “pool” part, fill it with some water and toys!

4.) Car Seat Snack Tray $19.99 _ Click HERE

This one specifically is overpriced. I have found a few as little as $5.99 but the idea is right. especially if you are like me and are magically missing a freaking cup holder on the car seat. It’s better than the kid meal boxes you are given and can really keep all of the food out of the seat. The travel tray is constructed from premium ABS plastic, which guarantees both durability and safety. It holds CPC certification, adhering to child safety regulations, and is free from BPA, PHT, and PVC, ensuring additional security.

5.) Erasable Doodle Book for Kids-Toddlers Activity Toys $9.99 _ Click HERE

I love this little doodle book. We use it for everything. Car rides, restaurants and even some downtime before bed. Its erasable and watercolor based ink, so there isn’t a mess. I recommend buying multiple for each car/each kid. Truly self explanatory and worth the effort of packing it in your go bag!
