Chicken Stir Fry (Healthier, I Guess)
Okay, so for those who know me personally, know that I am currently participating in the “Be Balanced - Hormone Weight Loss” program. (Not paid advertising- I just have been very successful on it!) I have essentially given up all processed foods, sugar, carbohydrates and have switched over to organic protein and vegetables.
This recipe is something that is not in their books and made completely on my own.
Chicken breast bites- great value works fine or you can cut chicken breast to an inch square
Swanson chicken broth- 1/4 Cup
Bragg Liquid Aminos- Droplets! Trust me!
Taylor Farms Sauté ginger garlic veggies and sauce
Minced Ginger
Minced Garlic
Chili pepper - optional
Pepper
First- throw away the sauce in the packet, though it’s very delicious, it has 9 grams of sugar PER SERVING. Yikes.
This veggie mix has it all! Carrots, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, bokchoy, green cabbage, pea pods and kale!
The one thing I have definitely learn with switching out the sauce with Liquid aminos is USE IT SPARINGLY or it’s literally licking salt lol. Just do a couple drops over the veggies while it sautés, then add more when it’s all done cooking and stir it in to your liking.
Second- cook the chicken according to the directions. 5-6 minutes on each side until fully cooked. I usually pepper the chicken here.
Third- add veggies, chicken broth(maybe 1/4 of a cup just enough to create the steam) and droplets of the liquid aminos. What until the end to taste it to see if you need more but usually less is more.
Fourth- steam the veggies and chicken for about 10-12 minutes, cover it with a cutting board or a lid. Until the big vegetables are tender.
Fifth- add the minced ginger, minced garlic and chili peppers and more liquid aminos as needed. Stir and serve once to your liking!
